How we handle your information.
A plain-English summary of what we collect when you contact us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. No jargon, no surprises.
This notice is a starter template written in plain language. Before launch it should be reviewed and finalized by the firm’s legal counsel — including the governing jurisdiction, exact data-retention periods, and any state or federal privacy rights that apply to the firm’s clients.
Information you give us.
The personal information you give us through this website is what you choose to enter when you request a consultation or send us a note. That includes:
- Your name, email address, and phone number.
- Your answers to a few short qualifying questions — what you need (tax, valuation, or both), your entity type or stage, a rough revenue band, and your timeline. These are pre-set choices, never free-text dollar amounts.
- Anything you write in the optional “what’s going on” note that describes your situation.
We may also collect basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the site is used — such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visits come from — to understand what’s working. Any such measurement is aggregate usage data, not an attempt to identify you. When you submit the contact form, we also receive your IP address automatically. We use it only for spam protection and rate limiting — it is kept for up to one hour — and share it with Cloudflare to verify the submission isn’t from a bot.
To reply, and to help.
We use the information you submit for one purpose: to respond to your request. Concretely, that means we use it to reach you, match you with the right help, and reserve the right amount of time for a first conversation.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don’t use it for unrelated marketing. We’ll always tell you before involving anyone outside the firm on your tax or valuation matter. A few service providers help us run this website itself — they are listed under “Cookies & analytics” below.
Don’t send sensitive details here.
This form isn’t for sensitive documents.
Please don’t enter Social Security numbers, taxpayer IDs, passport numbers, or financial-account details in any field on this website. A short description of your situation is plenty to get started — once we’re working together, we’ll share a secure way to send the documents that need protecting.
What runs in the background.
Most of this site is simple static pages, but the consultation form is a live service. Any visit counting we do uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-respecting tool that shows which pages are useful. Where a tool sets cookies or similar identifiers, it is for that measurement only — not for advertising or cross-site tracking.
A few service providers help us run this website: Resend delivers our notification and confirmation emails — it receives what you submit with the form: your name, email, phone, note, and your answers to the qualifying questions (need, stage, revenue band, timeline). Cloudflare hosts the site, provides the Turnstile bot-protection check on the contact form — your IP address is shared with it for verification — and provides the cookieless analytics tool described above. Calendly provides scheduling; its widget loads only after you submit the form or choose to book a time. The Calendly and Turnstile widgets may set their own cookies once they load.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work. One small setting — your light/dark theme choice — is saved in your browser’s local storage (a value named “theme”) so the site remembers your preference; it identifies nothing about you and can be cleared the same way as cookies.
You stay in control.
We keep the information you send only as long as we need it to respond to you and, if we go on to work together, to meet our professional and recordkeeping obligations. If nothing comes of an inquiry, we don’t need to keep it indefinitely.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email us using the address below and we’ll take care of it. Specific retention periods and any formal access or deletion rights that apply will be finalized with our counsel.
